However, our younger athletes performed in style. Louie McCormack continued his winning ways with a 31 second victory in the U11 Boys race. He was followed home by debutant Freddy Austin in 8th place and Max Rarity 14th. This gave them their first ever team win in this event. They were supported by twins Owen and Nathaniel Morgan in 26th and 33rd places. Sadie Mannion ran well to finish 34th in the U11 Girls race.
Once again, the U13 Boys performed well in the tough conditions. Joe Bentall continues to improve and this time finished in 2nd place, only 2 seconds behind the winner. Supporting him in close formation were Oliver Choi (11th), Tom Bentall (12th) and Alex Bailey (13th). This was enough to give them 2nd team placing. In the U13 Girls race, Lauren Howley was 28th and Emily Wolstencroft 32nd.
We had 2 runners in the U15 Girls event, with Anna Baker (26th) and Marnie Mannion (33rd) both running well on a long, exhausting course.
