The annual end of season Cheshire Multi-Events County and Open Championships were held at Macclesfield on Sunday 15th September.
It was great to see more Trafford athletes than previous years participating on what proved to be a a foul day weather-wise (running a close second to the NJAL fixture at Middlesbrough last year!)
Despite the weather there was a good level of competition, held in a great spirit by the athletes. The u15 girls high jump competition lasted for nearly two hours as the girls all shared umbrellas and supported each other through the wind and rain.
It turned out to be a reasonably successful day fro the Trafford Athletes, Allana finished a very credible 4th in the u15g Open Competition - with Lili getting 3rd in the Cheshire Championships.
Rivi finished 2nd in the u15b Open competition and the result of the day was George winning the u13b Open Competition.
Well done to all who participated - lets hope for better weather next year!
Also thanks to Degsy & David for their invaluable support on the day getting the kids ready for their hurdles and Long Jumps.
