It was a successful day for Trafford AC athletes taking part in the Cheshire Open Multi-events competition, with Jerell winning the u17m Pentathlon and Kim the u13g Tri-athlon.
Jerell was in dominant form, he put in a last burst in the final event, 800m, to ensure that he won all five of his events. As impressive an modest as ever!
The u11's and u13's competitions were run as tri-athlons as each athlete chose a sprint, jump and throw.
Again the Trafford athletes were to dominate the events with Kim winning the sprint hurdles, 3rd in the high jump and winning the shot-put. Zalika won the long jump, was second in the 100m and 3rd in the shot-put; so it was a little strange to find her in 8th place overall on points. Lili was second in the long jump, 3rd in 100m and 8th in the javelin to finish in 14th overall.
Issi competed in the u11's competition with her normal determination and enthusiasm, finishing the day with new PB's in the 100m and Long jump.
